Toby Dight - Graduate Scientist
Toby is a recent graduate of Curtin University with a BSc (Environmental Biology) 2010 and has experience in a broad spectrum of environmental science including; acid sulphate soils monitoring, sampling for ground water parameters, contaminated sites soil and groundwater monitoring, monitoring of wastewater and installation of monitoring devices, monitoring of trybutyl tin induced imposex in Thias Orbita, vegetation mapping, benthic habitat mapping, monitoring and identification of algae in metropolitan water bodies, and mine site revegetation. Toby also has experience in designing sampling programs and associated logistics and statistical analysis of quantitative and qualitative data. Toby has recent project experience in:
- Preliminary Site Investigations for Contamination and due diligence at sites in Swan View, Nambeelup, Bullsbrook, Baldivis, and Munster.
- Hazardous Materials Survey, Henderson.
- Identification and Geo-spatial recording of invasive vegetation, Finucane Island, Nelson Point and Yarrie.
- Monitoring and sampling of sewage discharge from operational areas within in Finucane Island and Nelson Point Facilities, including continuous data logging for physical parameters and flow velocity.
- Baseline vegetation mapping; Hardy Resource area and rail corridor.
- Baseline contamination assessment for a planned wind monitoring mast, Wedgefield, Port Hedland.
- Hydrogeochemistry survey of 220 bores within the North Perth Basin distributed from Gin Gin to Geraldton for government clients.
- Acid Sulphate Soil Monitoring – Sewage Pipeline Installation, Lillyfields Precinct and Bletchley Park residential developments, Southern River.
