Sacha Fielden - Scientist

Sacha has eleven years experience in environmental investigations and has been responsible for project management, contamination assessments, acid sulphate soil investigation and management, preliminary site investigations for contamination, preparation of sampling and analysis programs, environmental field sampling and works supervision, scientific and spatial data assessment and analysis, specialised GIS training, air quality assessment and monitoring programs, ecological and human health risk assessment, asbestos management and waste characterisation. Sacha has several qualifications including a BSc (Environmental Management) from Edith Cowan University, an Associate Diploma in Environmental Science and GIS certificates from the Canberra Institute of Technology. Recent project experience includes:

  • Field sampling for baseline contamination and acid sulfate soil status of proposed Perth Waterfront development.
  • Reporting and environmental Supervision of Dust Monitoring Program and reinjection bore pipeline for Port Coogee Development.
  • GIS support of baseline benthic habitat survey spatial data, turtle tracking data, terrestrial and groundwater monitoring data for Barrow Island, Thevenard Island, Boodie Island and existing and proposed exploration and production facilities.
  • Preliminary Site Investigations for Contamination and due diligence at sites in Welshpool, Bullsbrook, Baldivis, Port Hedland, Lesmurdie, Latitude 32 development properties and Munster.
  • Hazardous Materials Surveys in numerous school sites including Munster, Greenwood and Girrawheen.
  • Geo-spatial analysis for siting acid sulfate soil sampling locations along the DOMGAS onshore pipeline.
  • Mapping and reporting of the hydrogeochemistry survey of 220 bores within the North Perth Basin distributed from Gin Gin to Geraldton for government clients.
  • Acid Sulphate Soil Monitoring – Sewage Pipeline Installation, Lillyfields Precinct and Bletchley Park residential developments, Southern River.
